Kevin R. Schou, BCO, FIAOKevin graduated from a joint program from Foothill College and Stanford University with a degree in Anaplastology and Ocularistry in June of 1980. After graduation, Kevin received his Board Certification from the American Society of Ocularists and moved back to his hometown of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where he opened his practice. In 1982, Kevin moved back to the West Coast to work in Los Angeles and open a new ocularistry practice in San Francisco. After he and Maureen married in 1987, he moved to Portland to join Maloney’s Custom Ocular Prosthetics. Kevin eventually sold his San Francisco practice to focus on Maloney’s Custom Ocular Prosthetics.

Kevin is trained in the fabrication of facial and orbital prosthetics, as well as making artificial eyes. Mr. Schou was instrumental in forming the American Anaplastology Association, serving as President from 1988-1990. Kevin still provides Anaplastology services to patients around the world today. Kevin has also been an active member of the American Society of Ocularists, serving as Facilities chair from 1993-2010. In recognition of his hard work and dedication, the American Society of Ocularists awarded Kevin the Distinguished Service Award in 2004.
Currently, Kevin is on the Board of Trustees of the International Academy of Ocularisty and serves as the Facilities Chair. He is also the President of the International Academy of Ocularisty.
Apart from Ocularistry and Anaplastology, Kevin enjoys woodworking, traveling with his wife and family, and is an avid Beaver Football fan, along with the rest of his family.
