HOW TO INSERT YOUR PROSTHESIS

The upper and lower lids of the person in the photo have been pulled away from their usual position to make room for their prosthesis currently attached to a suction cup

Step one

Using a little bit of lubrication, attach a suction cup to the front of your prosthesis, and lift up your upper and lower lids.
While the upper and lower lids are still pulled away, the top side of the prosthesis is replaced in the eye socket

Step two

Gently slide the top of your prosthesis under your upper lid and slowly release your lid.
After the top side of the prosthesis has been replaced, the lower portion is inserted at an angle towards the lower lid.

Step three

After the top of your prosthesis is inserted, angle the bottom towards your lower lid.
Once the prosthesis is back under the lids, the suction cup is gently release from the prosthesis.

Step four

Once the bottom of your prosthesis is behind your lower lid, gently release the suction cup, and your prosthesis should be in place.
