What is the prosthesis made of?

Our custom prosthetic eyes are made from plastic, specifically Methyl Methacrylate Monomer, in two layers. The first layer is the "white" part of the prosthesis, or the sclera, while the top part is clear, and it is what gives the prosthesis the depth
and lifelike look of a natural eye. The paint used in our office for the iris is earth pigment oil based paint.
Earth pigments are vibrant colors derived from the earth, and do not fade, which extends the life of the prosthesis.
The appearance of blood vessels on the prosthesis are created using silk thread.
